Scrappleface is an extreme Right–wing blog site where malicious lies are presented in what the blog master calls a "satirical" form. In the course of these presentations, deliberate misrepresentations are made, often using quotation marks surrounding words that were never spoken or intended by the person to whom the quote is attributed. The writer also seems fond of twisting words to form, often infantile, synonyms and deliberately misleading meanings.
On the bright side, the appeal of this site seems to be on a year long decline, from 120,000 hits in March 2009 to 18,000 hits in February 2010, but one cannot help but wonder to what type of person these hateful posts appeal. Scott Ott, the owner of this site seems to have had a bad year having been rejected in his bid to be County Executive of Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, followed by being shown the door by a low circulation newspaper.
On the bright side, he is still a member of the "Trifecta", but doesn't the name suggest at least "a winner", or three?
The fact that there yet remains a handful of "regulars" is cause for this writer to wonder if they are inmates required to post in an effort to vent their insanities for the safety of their keepers and society at large.
